What we collect and why
We use your display name, email address and a password hash to provide and secure your account. A pet’s name and species are required to create its memorial. Photos, dates, breed, tribute, story and location are optional. We store the information you submit and your memorial activity so you can revisit and manage your memorials. We use technical and account activity data to operate the site, protect accounts and limit abuse. When you contact us, we use your message and contact details to respond.
Private memorials and sharing
Your memorial details and original photos are private to your account by default. Where sharing is available, anyone with a link you create can view the shared image, pet name and caption without signing in. The image may show details such as the portrait, tribute and visible location. You can disable the link or delete the pet. People and services may retain copies or previews they already obtained.
Payments and service providers
Stripe processes card details through its payment form or hosted checkout. Where Waffo is available and you choose it, we send your account email, account reference and the billing country, postal code and state or province you enter to Waffo to create and manage the payment order and calculate applicable taxes. Waffo handles the payment on its checkout page. Pet Heaven receives and keeps order references, purchase details, amounts and payment status to deliver purchases, reconcile payments and resolve issues. Pet Heaven does not store full card numbers or security codes. Our infrastructure providers support hosting, backups and site security. Resend delivers verification and password recovery messages, and Cloudflare Email Routing handles incoming support email. Providers may process data outside your country or region. We may disclose information when required by law.
Cookies, browser storage and map location
A session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. Browser storage can hold language preferences, sample flowers and memorials from an older version. The map may request a country estimate from ipwho.is, which receives your public IP address. The country code may be cached for up to 30 minutes in that browser session. You can also choose a country manually. If fonts load from Google Fonts, Google receives the request.
Retention and your choices
You can edit or delete memorials in My Companions and revoke any share links you created. Clearing browser storage removes browser-only information. Deleted records can remain in backups until those backups rotate. Routine local and structured off-site backups are generally retained for about 14 days. Supabase stores structured off-site backup records, including photo metadata. The photo files are kept in the local database backups. We may retain payment records for transaction reconciliation, disputes and legal obligations. Contact support to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, or to ask about other rights available under applicable law.
